From first call to going live

Their online presence was actively working against them.

When Snag It came to us they were running domain management across GoDaddy and IONOS while the site itself sat on an AI website builder. The DNS was misconfigured between all three, so visitors were being shown a 404 page that advertised the builder rather than the business.

For a trades business built on trust, that is damaging. Potential customers were questioning whether the company was legitimate at all, and enquiries were quietly going elsewhere.

They had already spent weeks going back and forth between providers without a resolution. They were stuck, and losing momentum.

The problem was not complex, it was simply unmanaged.

Our first call made that obvious within a few minutes. Inside an hour of that conversation we had resolved the DNS and pulled the broken builder pages out of public view.

Rather than leave the domain blank, we put up a clean holding page with contact details, social links and a short note that the full site was on its way. It was not flashy, but it restored credibility the same day and set the tone for the rest of the project.

Snag It needed two websites, not one.

One for homeowners and one for commercial and real estate clients. The existing B2B site was AI generated and showed it, with generic copy, inconsistent design and very little that communicated professionalism.

We redesigned and rebuilt both from the ground up. Their printed business cards were the only part of the brand that had ever been produced properly, so that is where we started.

Where the colours and the type came from.

The brand already existed, it had just never been written down. We identified the exact typeface used in the printed work and rebuilt the type system around it, setting a scale and spacing that hold a clear hierarchy on screen rather than only at business card size.

The palette was anchored on the black and yellow they were already using, then extended with the tints and contrast levels a website needs and a printed card never does. Every pairing was checked so text stays readable against each background.

Nothing here was invented. It is the brand they already had, made consistent enough to use everywhere.

We rewrote every line on both sites.

Instead of empty AI generated sentences, we wrote copy that spoke directly to Snag It’s customers, addressed the concerns they actually have and pointed them towards getting in touch. Every page was structured to convert rather than simply exist.

The same fonts, colours and language run across the B2C and B2B sites, so Snag It reads as one recognisable company rather than two disconnected businesses.

Built to be found, not just seen.

We set up Google Search Console and made sure both sites were correctly indexed, giving Snag It visibility over their own search performance for the first time. We laid the SEO foundations underneath that and supported the sites with blog content written to build trust and improve rankings over time.

Both sites run on our own platform. That gave us full control over design and typography while keeping the sites lightweight, and it means Snag It can manage their own content without coming back to us for every change. Future additions can be handled quickly, which matters for a business that is still growing.

Twelve conversions in the first month.

The whole project ran from first call to live site in two weeks, on a budget at the lower end of what a bespoke build costs. Snag It now has a consistent presence that holds up in front of homeowners and trade clients alike.

What began as a broken online presence is now a platform that actively supports the business rather than quietly costing it work.
